Well, bit more news. Seems I disturbed Vernon while laying yesterday and he went on to lay 7 more eggs where I plonked him. So he had an 18 egg batch *lmao*. However, I've frozen the 7 eggs, so we're only hatching 11.

Right so we have 18 eggs waiting to hatch (margies anyone?), and here's a pic of the palest (? there's another similar) Boo Baby:

It was the palest one who was out of it's shell, Kathy, but two were still inside theirs. Flash glare has over brightened it a bit, though I dont think she was the palest one as there was one on the courgette with it's skirts out and they were paler than hers. I'd say she was one of the middling ones, not pale, and not "normal" either.

There's definitely one that shade because I saw when I took 'em in the other room with better light whether or not it's that one, I think you're right because that one is the one I thought was palest until I saw the other one come out in the big living room.

Sorry, should add we have three pale (one more so than the other two) and two sort of Sherman coloured by the looks of it, although they seem to be prone to change.

More pics taken in better light: Boo Baby number 1. Boo Baby number 1 again (a bit over lightened by the stretching of the body and flash *lol*). Boo Baby number 2. Boo Babies number 3 and 4. Boo Baby number 5. None of them look as dark as "normal" margies, but some look as though they will darken. Boo Baby number 1 is from the pic in the post above. I think realistically only two of these will remain properly pale, and that's if luck goes our way.
