Gorgeous pics.
What a shame the family decided to release her into the wild with no thought about the dangers or how she would eat or drink. Let's hope they don't get any more animals if they just fling them outside like that.
We found a rabbit in our garden when I was a kid and after asking around up and down our street I named him Thumper (how original i know lol) and he lived with us for a good few years with a guinea pig called Gregory.

Aww bless, I bet he was gorgeous! I think basically they make it too easy for idiots to get hold of pets - they shouldn't sell live animals in pet shops. I also think they should raise the age at which you can buy animals. At the moment it's just to easy Ruth - it's Lola. She can be Lola Martha Focker. I promise.

Ruth - it's Lola. She can be Lola Martha Focker. I promise. I saw she was named Lola, i was just having one last attempt to get her called Martha *lmao*, but Lola Martha Focker is a cool alternative, providing you promise to shout her full name up the garden when your calling her in for her tea *rofl*

Forgot to add - we'll obviously be needing at least a 6 x 2 rabbit hutch so if anyone has any good contacts, feel free to share (otherwise we're looking into converting a shed for her)! Anything smaller than that would be unsuitable for a bunny this size apparently. You should've seen the one that came up from her old owners - fancy anyone being cruel enough to house a rabbit this size in a 3ft hutch

3 foot poor thing my guinea-pigs have a 3 foot hutch each! my bunnies are only about a foot in size and they both have a 5 foot hutch each. Kathy have you ever considered making one, its fairly hard to come across XL hutches, when we started getting calls from people who wanted us to look after mahoosive rabbits we had no other option so we made one 6"L x 2"W x 3"H I had a similar case when i was asked to look after a French Lop, well let me just say.....the most enormous rabbit i have ever seen, she must have been 3 foot in length and the poor thing in a 4 foot hutch, she was over weight because she couldn't move in there, the hutch was only 2 foot high so she couldn't even sit up right, she must have had a great holiday with us, she had the whole rabbit garden to herself everyday, took a few days for her to get mobilitly back into her legs though, and she had the biggest hutch to herself. I told the owners she had been staying in a bigger hutch, and they said they couldn't find one big enough for her, so i mentioned we'de made ours, so i just hope they too that idea away with them, i'll soon know if they call up again this year.... anyway look at me babbling, lol I agree about the age rate at petshops, ours are minimum 16 years, and i think it should be at least 18 tbh, theres teenagers going in and buying lizards and snakes saying they've got cages and tanks at home, i think at that age they need a parent wih them or a home check, it's quite appauling.

Hey well, I'll keep you posted. I'm ringing a guy in a minute about a shed on ebay for a tenner (6 days left like). We've decided a shed's the best bet, especially if we eventually decide to get her a companion.

OK I've spoken to the seller (lovely chap), and sadly he's recovering from surgery so although he'd be able to help, he wouldn't be able to dismantle it alone. So I'm going to have to go back to square one and see if I can't arrange some way of going over with someone with a van (or giving up on this one). Argh!

No - sadly no local rescues. I think it'd be pushing it to find a 6ft x 2ft one anyway. But thanks
