Sounds like I better ask her then! What I love about HOBS is they are like mini sumps where you can load it with media in filter bags. I actualy like to put bio-noodles at the bottom so the floss and other parts can be washed or replaced without losing benificial bacteria (noodles always stay, never wash). And you can also add ammino chips or whatever if there's a problem. Fortunetaly in the mean time the aquarium ive picked out that my boyfriend is getting for me has a built in filteration system and I really like it's design, it even comes with those bio noodles, brilliant. It's also a beautiful design, silver trim, glass...been drooling over it for ages! Best part is there's a version that's twice as big should I ever decide to upgrade. Just move the noodles across and im in business! lol. Or better, go 50/50 and keep the 10 gallon as a nursery, hospital, or heck a quarentine tank would be great! Then again no need to use such a pretty tank for those, would prefer a plain aquarium with a HOB or sponge filter for a nursery/hospital/quarentine tank, and would likely turn the 10 gallon into my saltwater nano! ;D I am really exited about bringing my little brigs across, I hope they are male and female and give me eggies because I think they have amazing colour and hope to see it passed on. I also bet some folks across would love some new blood lines to help produce more healthy babies! But hey, worst comes to worst, i'll upgrade my aquarium and adopt another baby from Daz if he can spare one.

SnailTrail, sorry about the mis-info about the plugs. LOL it's been a while since I've been back to visit the Grandparents, cousins, uncles and aunts, and that's one of the things that stuck in my mind. Here in Canada we have 3-prongers as well. Another thing that really freaked me out when I was in B'ham was the coin-op electricity box. Very very strange, that was~! LOL no need to be sorry I found it amusing and me and my sis had a good giggle about it (she's 9 yrs older than me and was second in command DIY-wise after my dad). We would hunt down electricals used the least in our house for new things that we forgot to buy a plug to go with it. ;D I still don't know how to change a plug so i'm glad I don't need to know. ;D Some of my friends had the coin boxes for "leccy" and I remember one family would make 50p ice coins to get free power.....until the guy came to empty the box and found a puddle. lol

snailtrail on here has a power filter. She describes it as one that the water gets sucked up a tube, filtered over sponges, then waterfalls back into the tank. You might want to ask her what kind she has and where she got it from? Ah ok so I have a power filter.....I never knew it was called that lol. Here's a link showing one of my tanks: www.johnallanaquariums.com/products/product.aspx?ProductID=56That tank is a R338.....I also have an R138 but that tank's not on their site for some reason. It looks just the same as the one in the link but has a bar in the centre when you lift up the lid. I like them aswell because you don't have to pay a ton out for special sponges....a large bag of fine filter floss goes a long, long way.

The filter on my tanks doesn't hang down the back like yours....it's fitted inside the hood.

;D happy to help lol.
I'd been looking at them before for my tanks so bookmarked whichever ones I found lol. I thought more might have appeared by now but they still don't seem to be popular for some reason. You can sometimes find them on Ebay too.
I found the other site that had them but it isn't working at the moment. I'll post it if it comes back though.

w00t! looks like they've hardened up nicely.
The outer ones I'm not so sure are fertile, but that could be an effect of the camera. I'd give it a few more days and gently crack the clutch down the middle and see if there's "smelly glop" or what looks like embryos.
I've had clutches that looked infertile yield viable babies from the centre of the clutch.

Alright thanks. ;D I just wanted to make sure sense they've really changed a lot. And I was concerned because a lot of eggs seem to have just...dissapeared really, and that one side seems to be erroding. Glad to hear everythings ok with them though. At the moment the clutch doesen't smell bad or anything which gives me reassurence it's fine. Ive been making sure to get it a little wet twice a day, and to dry off the "boat" and bottom of the clutch so it never sits in water. And I have actually set the nursery on top of my laptop charger which sits next to the laptop, and it has really increased the humidity nicely. I open the nursery one or twice during the day to check on them out of pure cureosity so plenty of air flow as well.
