Hi
can you turn the caps lock ff when you type? cause it looks like your shouting, and i dont like being shouted at, thanks
what sort of skink is it? as i wouldn't have thought a skink would eat aquatic snails especially the ones you mentioned as they have incredably tough shells
but you can buy them on Ebay very cheaply as the breed and grow fast , just chuck them in a large tank or container (height isn't important but they need a large amount of area
just chuck in stuff like fish pellets etc for them to eat and they'll grow, a small filter would probably help keep their water clean and thats about it
and i really dont want you to love me forever, it's kind of creepy
i'd still really like to know what type of skink it is

Sorry about the caps-----will try to forget my life long love affair----and just CALL "hay you over there"------ the skink is a red eye alagator skink and is is possible i have the wrong species-----but it must be nocturnal and come to the waters edge at night-----if another snail fills that bill from that area---let me know---they need the calcium from the shell of the snail or they die------do ramshorn come from SUMATRA and come to the edge at night -------these skinks spend most of their time at the waters edge under debris---the head looks like a mullet fish---large red circle around the eye and the body like an alligator with ridge scales and usally quite black-----you can google them but very little is known about the proper husbandry-------you did not tell me how to free myself of parasites-----as that was my main concern---so your fear of love was not well founded ----until that problem was solved----old man ken---call me snail

I don't think there's any worries with the "domesticated" Malaysian Trumpet Snail that most of us have in our tanks.
It does sound like the MTS is the snail you want, as the behaviour is consistent with what they do. That skink must have either very powerful jaws, or one heck of a digestive system. MTS shells are virtually indestructable. The only thing I've seen actually crush one is a Porcupine Puffer, and they're know for their strong jaws and beaks.
