I would take the inactive snails out and smell them just in case they have passed away and been moved around the tank by other tankmates. Chances are they are moving around during the night.
What size tank do you have with how many tankmates? Also what's the temperature of the water?
Perhaps the snails are older and slowing down.....do they eat their food ok?

Sometimes snails that have had a bad start in life (being kept with nippy fish at the lfs etc) can sometimes take longer to settle down. If all the water parameters are fine and the fish aren't bothering them maybe they just need time to get used to their new home. I hope they'll be more active soon.
