i have a molly fry tank that holds 15 or 16 fry (dont exactly know how many cuz they can swim around pretty fast now...few weeks old) and there is ALOT ALOT of food that goes uneaten and i need a snail that can readily eat the left over food. i would like one that can reproduce kind of fast so i could use them in my adult molly tank and not over populate my tanks and one that is common. i dont think my fry tank is more than 1 gal (it was originally for a betta), adult molly tank is 10 gal.there is some salt in adult tank, fry tank has no salt. i have some java ferns that are small so if the snail ate them i wouldnt have any more. so i would need one that wouldnt eat my plants because a lack of algae. what would you suggest.

European ramshorns might be ok in the fry tank but not in the salted tank.
Have you tried using a turkey baster to pick up any uneaten food?
