Have you looked on ebay? I've seen quite a few shell auctions on there, aquatic and land snail shells.

all of the ones ive seen on ebay atm seem to be from marine snails so are too heavy and the wrong shape to be inhabited as ive seem most of them shells in our bucket at work that we give to the crabs

And I have got lots of escargot shells that I use to put as decoration in my plant pots (to prevent my cats pee in there). They are clean, so if you think they are useful, I can spare some for you.

Well hi there! Good to see you here!
What kind of shellies do you have? I've got Oscellatus, Similus, Multifasciatus, and Brevis, and they don't seem to go for larger shells. I've got neothauma shells, and applesnail shells, (about 1" opening) and they go for the applesnail shells over the neo shells. And these are Wildcaught offspring, which had never seen applesnail shells.
I forgot to mention, usually you can get empty escargot shells at the grocers, or even "delicatessen" or "specialty" food shops. That may be another option.
My offer still stands. I can send a couple of dozen applesnail shells, in assorted sizes, if you don't have any luck by next Monday.

Well thanks for the compliment on the site! We do like to natter, so please, do hang about, even after getting your shells and shellies!
You know, you could PM me anyways, with address, as I've got to unload some of these empty shells. Might as well go to someone who can use em! Free PnP, and I'll pack carefully.
You're going to love multis. I've got an F1 colony of 18+ fishies, and they're a gas to watch, rearranging the sand in their tank to their liking. LOL they even bully the Brichardis away from "their" shells.
