Here's a couple of pictures of my wild-caught crays. Actually, it's the same one in each of these pictures, and yes, that is the colour the cray is. I got him/her out of the Moira River here in town last summer, popped it and a few others into a 29g custom, and basically forgot about them, until I see them roaming around. They eat the same things the snails (insularums) in the tank do.

How about some more pictures then? This is NOT a happy camper Crayfish. Active boogers when they're mad, aren't they? Surely that's good enough to tell just what I've got here? If it's not, I'm NOT flipping this one over to take a look at the underside. As it was, it almost escaped! It's about 4" long from nose to the tip of the tail, and the claws are just about 2" long. Oh, and yeah, I find empty snail shells all the time. Thank goodness Marisas are the freakin rabbits of the snail world. I'm not impressed with the empty Insularum shells, though. Ah well.

Awwww just think we were going to be eating those round an open fire down in Mississippi with those nice folk LOL .... glad we didn't go , couldn't have seen them kill things like that and throw em on the fire ... don't really like to see things about to eat running about before hand.
