I went to my lfs today and found this little fella/lady... I was like when I saw it....they usually only have small ones with some erosion. Now I know what the tip of the shell looks like.

Thanks guys. I think the new snail is a "she" because that little one on the pic hasn't left her alone since I took it. Do these guys mate just like apple snails? Same side? If so he likes his ladies large. I just had a look and although he's not mating with her right now he won't leave her shell.....must be love. ;D

It's beautiful. They are called "Tiger Nerite Snails", aren't they? I have had these snails in the past, but could not work out how to look after them, I put them with the apple snails but they died on me. Now I only have the shells left but no snails.

Janet, get them into really hard water, lots and lots of minerals. More like Saltwater, but without the salt. You may get lucky and save the shells from eroding away, PLUS get viable babies!

Yes i'm going to move them both to my other 10g with a better PH and a coral sand/brown sand mixed substrate later on today when I do some tank work.
The little guy is still on her shell......it's like he's found a new home. ;D

Cheers Lol @ the eggs....no eggs so far but i'll keep an eye out. I had to move the female with the male attached into the higher PH tank....he would not get off her shell. ;D He finally did get off her shell and they are both scooting about.
