Well I'm Darren and I'm 31 (boo hoo) and I was born in Stourbridge in the West Midlands where I lived until I was 25 , I met Linda on the internet and I moved here to Clitheroe in Lancashire. I used to have my own computer shop which I built up from scratch starting in a rent free office and getting to high street shop status , I had to finish that though due to ill health. I've suffered from Fibromyalgia since I was 25 , no treatments and no cures ... just will power to go on lol.
I have several hobbies , some I can't do anymore because of the FM so I'll list them first as they mean not a lot ... Motorcycle Restoration and Viking Reinactment.
Now the hobbies that I can still do , Drawing (When I get time) , Snails , Collecting anything to do with Wolf's , Computers , Horror films , British Drama's , Web Design , Formula 1 , Photography (on a basic level) , holidays (lol) , British Comedy i.e Little Britain and League of Gentlemen , Fussing other peoples dogs lol ... I think that covers most angles .. oh and one important hobby that I have is ... Linda hehe.
Music Tastes - A wide range of stuff but I still do have the Rock blood running through the veins ... GnR , Aerosmith , Alice Cooper and Ozzy Osbourne just to name a few but I like all types of music.
Favourite Holiday Places (This is Sad) : Blackpool , Scarborough , Whitby , we plan on trying Brighton and the south coast when we get chance.
Some useless information about me :-
Furthest I've been is Ireland and that was with the viking reinactment group.
I have long blonde hair lol
I used to wear cowboy boots
I am not related to Bruce or the guy who sometimes reports for the news on tv lol ... although my dad is called David ... it still isn't him.
I have all my fingers and can count to 10
I like home made cakes , they're great.
I belive in Ghosts ... I've seen a few.
I don't have a huge plasma screen tv but I'd like one
Okay thats itthen for now anyway lol , hope ya enjoyed reading my cr*p.

Hey Daz, nice to finally "meet" you!
AS for the Fibro, there ARE treatments available out there. YOu just need to find a doc that takes you and the disease seriously.

Hmmm, well a good friend of mine has it, as do a couple of clients.
They all say that diet helps, and finding a good doc. There is one fairly local to here that specialises in Fibro, and diet and exercise and stretching, and massage all help enormously. Being sedentary and waiting to "stove up" is the WORST thing you can do.
I'll see what else I can find out/remember in the next couple of days.
BUT rest assured, Fibro isn't "in your head". It's a legitimate disease, with treatments. NO cure, but treatments.

Hi Well I'd be chuffed if I can find something that helps , I've just started a course of glucosamine tablets so I'll see how they go .... now the better weather is coming I'll be able to get out more and that should help also ... I'm looking into doctors. My specialist who has only bothered to see me once and that was when I was diagnosed told me the only treatment would be for me to find something that helped ... that was it , no suggestions or nowt .... he's never bothered checking up on me and that was like 5 years ago ... but now I've moved north where there seems to be better health care I may have some luck ... fingers crossed

Glucosamine will definately help with achy joints, especially if it's got chondroitin in it as well. Be sure and give it a solid 3 months to really see if it's working, as it takes that long to start being helpful (for arthritis patients, and injuries, at least)
Try some GENTLE stretching, along the lines of Yoga, as well, to keep the muscles limber. The worst thing you can do is start being inactive due to fear of hurt. That leads to gradually being able to do less and less.
Another thing that might help is Arnica, available through homeopaths and iridologists. What is does is lubricate muscle on the cellular level, and prevent lactase (or is it lactose?) buildup. It's usually used WHILE excercising to prevent sore and stiff muscles the next day. I use it at the start of the curling season, and IT WORKS.
If your "specialist" won't help, try a licensed homeopath or iridologist. Even better if the homeopath/iridologist has some "real" medical training like a Registered Nurse. I get my Arnica through a Nurse that realised that conventional medicine doesn't have all the answers, and she has a developmentally delayed child that was destined for institutionalisation, so she took course after course, got her diplomas, etc, and that "child" is now a grown woman able to fend for herself.
Above all, don't give up hope, and NEVER give in! Explore any and all options, and keep an open mind to "alternative" meds. Just remember that there can be interactions between alternative meds and conventional meds, so be sure and let everyone who's treating you know ALL the things you are doing and taking to treat your Fibro.

Hi there
Thanks very much for the tips , I'll be sure to take those on board. No I don't let it get to me , I refuse to let it win ...the way I tend to try and keep positive to to just think that 'hey at least I still have my arms and legs , some people don't so I'm not that bad off' ... it's the only way to look at it really , yeah I might be ill but I'm alive and there are people out there far worse off than myself ... no I don't wallow in self pity like some people do but I have to admit that I do get frustrated at times when I can't do the things I used to be able to ... recently moved our washing machine literaly 1 foot forward and did my neck and shoulders in , things like that do tend to get me p*ssed off ... at one time I could lift people up above my head let alone move a washing machine 1 foot , I don't stay angry for long though .... no point as it achives nothing lol!!
But yeah thanks very much for the advise etc , I'm hoping these glucosamine tablets will help ... expensive but I don't mind that if they even just give a 10% improvement. I'll let you know if I get any improvements , I'll look into that Arnica and see what I can dig up ... but you can rest assured that I aint about to give up on enjoying life , the word QUIT doesn't exist in my dictionary LOL!!
Thanks again
Darren

Yes nice to 'meet' you Darren. On a lighter note do tell about the ghosts, I would love to see one. I have lost a lot of my family and I think if I saw a ghost it would help me to believe that there is something else!!

LOL Val : Yeah I've seen two definate definable ghosts , by that I mean ghosts that I either knew or could tell was an actual person. 1st one was the night of my best friends funeral , I was sat with my house mates chillin and trying to get over the sombre mood that had dominated the day. Well we suddenly heard this sobbing , like a small child and we just looked at each other not really knowing what the heck was going on. I then looked over to the window where I could see my reflection , but in the reflection was the outline/shadow of somebody stood at the side of my chair .... there was actually nobody near me. Well that freaked me out and I jumped up and retreated to the other side of the room , after a few minutes and a ciggerette I went back to the chair and looked at the window again ... this time there was no outline/shadow. Anyhow thinking that everything was cool now I looked to my right into the dark kitchen where upon I saw my dead friends face behind the chest freezer .... yes I kid you not , behind the freezer just floating there looking at me. I was sure I was cracking up so I asked the housemates to look and tell me exactly what they saw , i told them nothing ... every single one of them turned and told me exactly the same thing as I was seeing .... now I did freak out and I ran like the wind out of the house and down the road to the nearest lit up area I could find where upon I smoked far to many ciggerettes and sat very nervously watching every dark area that i could see ... yup I freaked out LMAO!!!! That was 11 years ago!! The second Ghost I have seen was right here in this house , I was lay in bed asleep when I felt this prodding in my back , just gentle but enough to wake me up. Well stupidly I rolled over to see what was tapping me and stood there was this old lady and she was just stood there looking down at me , well I screamed like a baby waking Linda up and then i shot under the quilt and I would not come out until Linda turned the light on. I slept with my lamp on for a few nights after that i can tell you , anyway i didn't know this woman but the next day Linda told me a name and asked me who that was , I said I have no idea and she said that she was the woman at the side of my bed last night and she had come to have a look at me. It didn't mean much to me until a few days later I was talking to my mum on the phone and I happened to mention the name that Linda had given me and she said you had a great aunt who moved north names that , further more she had never seen me .... well i was shocked. I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't live in this house at one time , just be my luck that LOL. Oh and Linda was able to tell me the womans name etc because not many people know this but she does have phsycic ability's as do I ... mine aren't anywhere near as good as Linda's but yeah we both pick things up .... linda blocks hers but i don't know how to unblock mine LMAO!!! So yes Val I do think there is more to life than just now , one day we'll find out i guess. Joyce : LOL you are classic , so I'm a fine chap .... that's very good of you to say so , and yeah I would love to chuddle a wolf .... Linda says I'm crazy because I'd like to chuddle a big old grizzly too. LOL she cringes when I stroke and fuss strange or stray dogs , keeps telling me I'm gonna get bitten one of these days .... well it aint happened yet and I believe that's because i'm in tune with the animals .... just call me the modern day tarzan LMAO ... although swinging from ropes and beating my chest would be more than enough to probably put me in hospital LOL. I like that Wolf picture , gonna add that to my fav pics. Glad you are enjoying it here Joyce , can't wait to see more from you Cheers Daz

Phew that's a long post Daz...I thought I would carry on with this post as its interesting..can you imagine what its like to be woke up with someone screaming in your ear..I nearly had a heart attack..I was brought up in a spiritulist family..lovely people but weird if you ask me and yes I could do readings and never work again LOL but i prefare not to do and I just let it come natural rather than be trained..I dont want dead people telling me stuff morning noon and night ..I do get things for people and I have told people stuff...but I dont like stuff during the night LOL. I do get odd dreams of future events and on occasions I have been with a murder victim until they pass over..yeah I know its weird but there you go..the best incident of this was around 10 years ago..you have to remember I live in a quiet rural area where the only thing criminal is scrapping among the youths on a booze fueled friday night..I went to bed early on the night of the 1st of april and woke up in the morning having had the most vivid dream I have ever experianced...I told my ex hubby..there has been a murder here..I told him everything in detail I was with this young man on a field it was dark he was surrounded by 3 maybe 4 men all shouting at him and asking him questions..I could sense his fear and bewilderment and could not speak or even help him it was strange I just stood there with him feeling what he was feeling... one of them had a stick like object and began to hit him...I wont go into details it was dreadful like watching a violent movie..when he was near the end he was picked up and dragged into slow moving water..this is where I was able to hold him and comfort him until he slipped peacefully away...as I went away on holiday this was on my mind for most of the day..until my 2 older daughters joined us with a local newspaper..I had not told them about my dream but there it was on the front page..and a picture of the person..and it turned out this was a young man with learning difficultys that my daughters knew who was gentle kind and harmless he was always with the local kids and babysat for a lot of mums including my grandson..I had heard of him but never met him..over the coming months certain facts emerged only one man stood trail for the murder..I know there was more..years later I heard the names of the other people involved on the grapvine..the stick object was a pool cue and the argument was over a game of pool and money that was owed..no one had ever paid for this murder and this young mans parents still leave flowers on the top of the bridge where he was supposed to be thrown over{by one person} when dead..I know he was never on that bridge...but at the end of the day what are you supposed to do..go up to his mum and dad and say I was with H*** when he died or go to the police and say I know there was more than one person involved..I would be locked up..so I keep my secrets of the night inside and just pray I dont ever have to go through this again..thank you for listening its helped...Linda

WOW Lind & Daz, they were really interesting posts. I love hearing about all this stuff - kind of comforting. A few years ago I used to buy the Psychic News every week and read all the articles, now I just keep busy instead. Thanks for telling me. Val

I find this very interesting. Yes I certainly believe all you wrote. I grew up in a house that was over a hundred years old. Huge house, two story with a huge basement.
The upstairs has never been finished in all those years. The rooms are partitioned off with two by fours with door frames. Four rooms, huge walk in closet and a huge space at the top of the stairs. Stairway enclosed. In all those years, no one has ever been able to finish the upstairs. If it is attempted a fire starts. Same place every time. Nothing to start the fire. No reason for a fire to start. Always in front of a six foot long mirror. The house still stands and is still unfinished. Many ghosts occupy that house. I have seen them countless times. So has others.
None of the ghosts are evil or bad. What took place in that house was evil and that is a story few would believe. Happened long before I was born. But won't bore you with more. Daz I would much rather wrestle a ghost then a grizzly bear, coyote or wolf. LOL Hugs, Joyce
