How do you know they are mating? Do they make contact with each other? really curious about this.

GALS have their genitals behind their right eye. when they mate they fire a "love dart" this is like a white calsified pertrusion from their genital area. the two snails become connected by the "love dart" for quite a period of time during mating. Mine were mating for about 20 hours. It obvious when they are mating, as you can see the joining of the love darts in the two snails. unlike brigs, gals are homaphrodites so both have the ability to produce sperm and lay eggs. ;D They can also storm sperm for several months after mating, so u never know when u gonna get a clutch after mating!
