we are delighted that we have been given 4 lovely GALS from Paul King , we met him today at Bolton Station and we just sat and chatted for like over 2 hours ... a very interesting man indeed , I'll be adding his link to our web page on the next update. A big thanks going out to Paul , TOP GEEZER!!!!
I'll get some pics up soon of these fine specimens.

I must confess I am a bit worried as we have not seen much activity yet..maybe they are setteling in..they have ignored the food I have lovingly prepared for them 2 are at the top of the tank one in the pot and one burried..I keep saying to myself "i will not be para I will not be para"

I know exactly how you feel - we worry so much about these little creatures in our care, but at the end of the day you can o ? 5{ hen it's up to them. Like I said about Nokia, perhaps these snails are extra sensitive to change of environment, I hope they are all O.K. but if not there is nothing more you could humanly do. I know you will keep us posted, Val

Well we have an update The two larger ones have now come down and are eating , the buried snail has come out and is now sat at the top of the tank where the two big ones were and the pot dweller has started to come out ... so fingers crossed this is all good. Emailed Paul King and he said that they may take a while to acclimatise and yup it looks like the panic was for nothing .. we're so pleased. I have taken a couple of quick shots with the flash as I didn't want to disturb them too much now that they are eating and what not ... so here you are. These two have been named Columbus & Glancer This is one of the smaller ones , presently un-named. Too cute , specialy when they fully extend their neck ... I'll get more pics when they've settled in more. Cheers Daz

Yeah they seem healthy enough , should see em when the lights go off .... all over the place rooting and ratting about lol.
Yeah we found Paul to be a really nice bloke and his website that he is putting together in my opinion will be the GALS version of Applesnail.net , I do believe he will be covering aquatic snails as well which is great .... another good cause to stick on our donation scheme (if he accepts that is). Me and Linda are going to meet up with him again and I think there is talk of a snail event/meeting/night or whatever you want to call it ... me and Linda are very keen on this idea as it would be great to actually meet up with like minded people whether it be GALS or Aquatic Snails .... I think if anyone could organise something it would be Paul , we have our fingers crossed on that one.

Emma we realy enjoyed meeting with other snailers and it was great to know we are not the only weird ones{well thats what others think you are if you love snails} and have you noticed the reaction on people when you tell them what you keep..I have had it said stamp on them throw them against a wall why ooohhh why do people want to hurt such gentle creatures is beyond me..now on to the Gals..how often do you clean them out and do you throw the cuttlefish away when it gets soggy..Linda
