I know many of you know this already, but wanted you all to know that Boycie, my margie ovum (originally from Brixton, previously owned by Anjie) laid two batches of eggs the day before yesterday So we now have 24...yes 24!...margie eggs, and we're hoping to hatch them all. It's unlikely they'll all hatch, if any, but we're going to try I'll keep folks updated, in the meantime here's a piccie or two of eggs and dad Batch 1 Batch 2 (or was it the other way around...) Slimline Boycie looking rather chuffed with himself (and off camera, there is Columbia the 7cm ish margie suturalis x ovum baby, who he is already chasing so soon after the birth, leaving his wife Marlene to sulk)... Ps. Boycie's shell looks naff in that pic, looks are deceiving - he's got a lovely dark shell (the flash brings out the wear on it), and is my biggest margie at about 16cm, maybe more. And in the middle, with Marlene (left - who he mated with) and Sherman (right - Kathy's boy who stayed with us for a while).

Thanks - sorry I didn't reply sooner, I'm useless at keeping up to date *cringe* Can I have a fanfare please? Boycie's babies are currently hatching! Four hatched, two half hatched, and at least 2 or 3 more cracking ;D So far only ones from the 11 egg clutch, but the theory is he was already pregnant with them when he conceived the others, just laid them at the same time - so the others will possibly hatch another day (couple of weeks perhaps?).

Oh wicked cool! Congrats on the successful hatch~! I still love that pic on your hand, and these aren't restricted here, if I get eggies.......and I've got a couple of 25g tanks sitting empty, and who-knows-how many Rubbermaid tubs...... Can you see the wheels spinning in my head here? ??

Yup, Boycie Big Knickers is a poser ;D Well we have 7 so far, one still cracking, and 3 not doing anything - but we'll see how it goes, 7 out of 11 is pretty good going, apparently Just the other batch to go now - then raising them, fingers crossed with no casualties. I'm keeping one probably, and maybe Kathy depending on whether Boo's eggs hatch, and then there's a couple of folks reserved some already - but I haven't got it all worked out yet, and there still may be more born, so I'm sure I should have one or two spare if all goes well ;D I probably have now with just these, but I am useless with my memory so I'll get back to you on that *lol* Edited to add - I'm so sorry, I should have read your message properly, these wont be able to be posted to Canada I'm afraid, I'm sticking to homes in the UK. I'm so sorry - hope you find some nearer home soon More pics:

Right, sorry for not keeping this updated, I am losing a battle with my fading memory so I'll get on with pics and things tonight if I get a mo.
I know it's too early to be taking definites, but I'm having a hard time keeping up with who's interested and who isn't - could those who have already arranged babies with me please pm me and let me know, and I'll write it down this time *blush*
Sorry!

Awww thanks Linda I'm being a bit lazy, this is copied and pasted from a post I made on another site, and I'll get new piccies today if I can: Still 12 babies, now eating solids well, not ready to go for a bit yet, but they're growing, much more active, and absolutely gorgeous (even if I am biased). Piccies: Top left - our palest one is now mid-brown with darker eyes, hmm very much like the Sherminator: Here he is again: And in my hand: ....but he's still quite a bit lighter than the other baby margies, all the ones first to hatch have black faces and dark greyer bodies (see first pic - he's top left in that too, but check out the others). Much like their daddy ;D Oh and just for the hell of it - tiger baby pics. The little silver boy has also darkened, and they're all now normal tiger coloured. However, little silver aka Smalls isn't growing much, he has new growth but his brothers are literally three times the size of him now: "There there, Smalls, you'll get big like us in no time" says big brother whilst giving him a hug: They've just started a growth spurt, they've taken ages to get to this size, and now they've suddenly decided to grow. I've got so attached to them, I've even contemplated keeping them all. But that'd mean no adult tigers from Brixton. Hmmph.

Has everyone who wants one been in touch now? I've got homes for roughly half of them now, due to cancellations there are some still needing homes. I prefer over 18s but that is flexible depending on individual circumstances. I draw the line at those who are likely to sell on though, these are only available to permanent homes. Hope that doesn't come across as fussy! ;D
They wont be ready for a week or two yet, I'd think - but they are gorgeous, eating well, big and chunky ;D
