Grabbed some pics of the fulicas and co while cleaning them out last night, took some of all of them but for some reason I've deleted Clover's so I'll get one again later First of all Bruce the iredalei Now the rescue fulicas (all except for Clover anyhow *lol*) Coco Roger, the one who was badly retracted when he joined us, but made a good recovery - check out the shell growth - you can see the line where he had stopped growing, at the top of his shell Back to my other non-rescues now - here's Fidget - who also had really bad growth but has grown tonnes since, so much so you cant see where her shell ended previously in this pic And Widget, whose growth isn't as pretty but it's a start - you can see where his new growth has started Now my Ebay baby from the strange shelled parent, his name is now Ebay too Layla - the Ebay snail who arrived with the very badly damaged shell a few months back Sam our first ever fulica with the coffee coloured shell Now Jasper, the what-ever-he-is, part fulica, part albo, part...erm...well, who knows? And his red/pink apex And the main man, Cooper the mahooosive fulica (or cross) Piccies dont show how big he is now, I'd say around the 12cm mark but it'd be guessing. Still growing anyway. One of them all: And what the hell, here's the tiger babies too...

They are all gorgeous but I have a soft spot for Bruce. ;D
Do they rasp your hands when you hold them like apple snails do?

Some do, well most do, but depending on the species, some harder than others. My fulicas are quite gentle, but my immaculata variants (two-tones, panthera) all rasp rather hard, not painfully though - just like someone scrubbing you with a nail brush, in miniature *lol*

Yep, they're all homed now though - but am getting 3 adults from Anjie (she got them from Brixton market where they're sold for food on the african market) early next week, so if they ever get round to laying (which they might not do being wild caught) I'll probably raise some again, but not a whole batch! The 3 pictured above are from the 4 that hatched out of the 22 eggs Anjie sent me from her tigers. Hatch rate for me was low, but Anjie ended up with looooads.

Hey hey what's all this might not lay rubbish? Our lazy brixton margies have shown us what they can do so I'm sure the tigers can do the same ;D Sam, Dean and John wave to the other rescues lol. Everyone looks lovely
