My GALS last mated in october and they are still laying clutches of eggs. If they had all hatched I would now have something like 360 snails, thankfully I just have 100, and just like you I am struggling to rehome them. Try freecycle.com. Also consider keeping your snails seperate.

well, ive managed to get rid of them all 'Few' and from now on they can look at each other threw there own seperate glass tanks wich is ashame... but cant keep trying to re-home babies each year.. unless they only mate at certain times of the year? then i would keep them apart for that period of time ..
thanks for the mails and advice

Why dont you just freeze the eggs like most of us other GALS owners do? Then you wont have any babies other than ones you want to hatch which you could leave to one side. Or if you dont want any, freeze them all! Fulicas can lay very frequently, if you just leave them as you currently do you'll be over run in no time. Seperating them wont make any difference now as they can store sperm and fertilise themselves for many months (over a year, 18 months or so?) after they've actually been in contact with another snail. Freezing the eggs as you find them is the only option unless you want hundreds of babies born every fortnight...
