...here are some pics of our other pets.
This is Dharma, our rescue Bullmastiff. We've had her since she was a pup and she's now coming up to 3 years old.
This is Ruby. She came to us all the way from Ireland where she was saved from Death Row along with her four pups. Her old owner thought more of breeding her than spaying her for her health, and she died 11 months later from mammary cancer which she was diagnosed with just a month after we adopted her. She was only 7. She'd be alive now if they'd spayed her before her 1st season.
This is Dodge, our oldest cat. He's a rescue with a bit of siamese in him. He thinks he's a girl (I'm not kidding). He was born in rescue and lived the first 3 years of his life in a single bedroom. When that rescue closed, he went on to another where we adpted him from. His full name is Dodgem because he has the typical Siamese tail kink like a Dodgem pole, and that was all the rescue ever saw of him as he sped round avoiding people with his chirpy meow.
Here's Grace. She's been with us since she was 4 weeks old, as her mum abandoned her (poss. died). She is nearly blind in one eye due to a corneal rupture (surgery saved the eye but not all her sight). She is also slightly brain damaged from a ride in the tumble drier when she was tiny (although this could have been a problem she was born with).
This is Errol. Errol came to us after he bit through a mains cable and lost half of his tongue and suffered permanent kidney damage. He's a right little scamp, and has grown a fair bit since this was taken.
We also have 27 pet rats, Lola the rabbit and the fish tank, as well as the GALS. I'll post pics of them another time ;D
