I'm sorry you didn't get the results you hoped for dragonlord. If it makes any difference, A-levels aren't the be all and end all any more, and the good thing about education is that it can stop and start throughout your life, and Unis will take different forms of qualification now too. I got my GCSEs back in '93 and did very well, but it doesn't mean a damn thing now because apparently they're out of date. I'm off to do an Access course in September, and that'll get me on a degree. My Mum did her degree at 40 with no previous qualifications apart from a similar foundation course. So it goes to show that life doesn't stop if you don't get the results you hoped for - there are so many different paths now!

I got my AS results yesterday. I got A in Religious Studies, A in Geography, A in General Studies, B in Biology, C in Critical Thinking and C in History. I was quite pleased.
Sorry you didn't get what you wanted Dragonlord. A-levels are very difficult, and all this stuff in the newspapers that it's getting easier and anyone can get As is rubbish. You could always retake exams or do the year again.
kind regards
Mike

I absolutely agree Mike (and congrats BTW). A-Levels are not getting easier, if anything they're getting harder. I find it so degrading and offensive for A Level students to have to read that cr@p when they've tried so hard.

congrats mike i had already decide (within 5 mins of getting the results) of what i'd do, drop Business studies, i've got the info i wanted by doing the course, im gonna carry on with biology, and i'll retake the chemistry in november so i can carry on with it, and i'll take up general studies and i wasn't too bothered about the results, it was the bar man not serveing me after that got me miffted but all this about A-levels getting easier has always ragged my chain, so i hit someone who said A-levels are getting easier infront of me on thursday ;D serves him right

so you only did 3 GCSE's then?
yea i dont understand the crying bit
a guy in my maths class (higher level maths) cryed and ran home cause he got a C instead of a B, it'd of killed him if i had chance to tell him that i got a B lol
my maths teacher had also said that this kid would get an A without any need for revision etc when i'd need to work harder than i was and stop talking or i'd fail... i didnt even revise ;D had to go rub his nose in it after though lol
