They look like viviparus to me but Linda or Daz will be able to confirm that because they are much more viv savvy than me. Very pretty pics. ;D

well thy certainly aren't warm water species, they live in the pond and survive the winter very well, i hardly ever lose any to the cold unlike the other species

Hi Linda,
The baby vivs are doing great. I tried one in my 21g snailey tank but he didn't seem happy so I moved him with the others in one of my 10g tanks.
They love climbing the plastic plants. ;D

;D I think we are going to have to put a plastic one in with ours too...just having a look at them now and we seem to have more babys I have lost count now..Vivs are strange I will retell the story of how we got them. About a year since last easter Daz and I went to the local pet shop and while he was buying stuff I was having a nosey in the tanks like you do..and I spotted 2 little stripped snails I honestly thought they were Spixies and got megga excited at that point we did not have Spixies in the UK it would be much later that we got ours from Doris and others who sent eggs..anyway I am going off track I asked what they were and the girl in the pet shop did not even know they were there so she said I could have them for nothing..she gave me two in a bag but I could see a third but I felt cheeky asking for it..the shop closed for easter the lone snail was on my mind all flippin week , when it opened again I plucked up courage and went back for it , this one was the biggest of the 3 over the next few months the other two died with no issue and we put the lone Viv in a small tank on it's own and ordered some big black buggers off ebay and the night before they were due she gave birth to two tiny little stripped ones we were gobsmacked she had been on her own for months but since then she has had several lovely babys who are now the size she was when I saw her in the pet shop..I am looking at her now her shell is not so good well her original bit is rought and the ebay vivs are huge compared to her but she is still my fave and I will be upset when she dies but at the moment she is still going strong I will get Daz to take some pics of them..we have another friend Dr Anne who wants some so we will be sending her some soon..Janet did you get a stripy one..we only had a few when we sent yours but looking in the tank we now have a few..Linda

Good I am glad you got a offspring of old striped girl she is of a different blood than the big blacks off ebay so when they breed you should not have inbreeding..all the babys from the black/algae ones are that lovely copper colour . I forgot you know Anne we keep in touch with her and will be sending her some youngters soon she has been good to us...and yes we got some Cannas from Anne Dela and Old man Mo Barbie and Heather...Old man Mo is still living and he was the runt of the bunch he is the father of many and the new generation are hugh buster and Ginny being two of them..yes of course I remember now your Buster was off Anne awww they were strong little guys and special because they were our 1st Cannas .
