i have recently bought 5 golden apple snails, and i love them to pieces they give me so much joy watching them, that i would like to give something back. now i keep thinking about dropping some lettuce in there or cucumber but i get worried. i cant find anything on the internet to say its ok to do it or not to do it. i also have goldfish in the tank would it hurt them at all? some one please help i really want to give them a treat!

They will eat cucumber and all sorts of treats like fish foods, algae wafers, cooked (no salt) veggies like kale, courgette etc.
Don't leave the food in too long otherwise it will foul the water.

hi, thanks very much.
i have just put a little bit of courgette in and straitaway 1 has gone for it.
i also had a shock this morning my snail laid eggs yippee.
